The Builder: David Morton
After sixteen years of building homes across the northern suburbs of
Indianapolis we have had the opportunity to build many remarkable homes for many
wonderful clients. My objective has been to keep our company small enough that I
could personally manage the construction of every home. The personal challenge
continues to be creating homes that maximize both the form or style and the
function of every home. Lifestyles change, styling trends fluctuate and new
products are continually being introduced. We work to bring all these influences
together to build homes of real distinction.
The objective has been to understand how someone is going to live in their home
and design the home to maximize the function to meet their
lifestyle. The passion is to create these homes with style in a form that
reflects the homeowners’ vision of their dream home. As every client’s vision is
unique so do we work to create homes that deliver on this individual character.
Quality is more than a tagline. With us, quality is a philosophy, it is in
everything we do. From subcontractors to suppliers we have worked to identify
those people and companies that share our expectations. We build every home as
though we are building our own. I stand behind every home, not just by putting
my name in limestone on them, but by providing a builder’s warranty and service
after move-in that reinforces our long term client relationships.
My goal is to ensure that the building process, from initial design through
move-in is orderly and pleasurable to enhance the long term enjoyment of the
home. While building a home is a project it does not have to consume your life
or cause undue anxiety. Our process should allow the client time to make
meaningful decisions and still keep up with the commitments of their busy lives.
As one of the premier builders and developers in the central Indiana area, we
are building in many of the better neighborhoods in Carmel, Zionsville,
Westfield (and in fact from Brownsburg, to Geist). We regularly assist
our clients in finding the community and lot that best matches their lifestyle and
best accommodates their planned home.
Whether you're designing a home from a blank sheet of paper or purchasing a home under
construction, contact us to explore the process and opportunities of building
your dream home.
ABOUT YOU
Initial Meeting Plan
In starting the design / construction process the initial meetings should answer
some basic questions to get the process off in the right directions. Here are
some of the first topics we will discuss.
Budget: Give us your most realistic budget parameters so that we can work
towards designing the home you truly want to have built.
Neighborhood(s): Are there neighborhoods that you are already familiar
with that we should consider.? If not, what are you looking for in a community
or subdivision?
Lot: Because we want to design the home to work well in its environment,
what lot features are you most interested in? Are there lots you have already
identified?
Basic Home Layout: General ideas on rooms and their location will be
important in establishing a starting point of a floor plan (ie. master bedroom
up or on the main floor, number of additional bedrooms, main floor and basement
living areas).
Exterior Appearance: Are there styles of homes that are most appealing to
you? While we can often match most floor plans to an exterior elevation theme it
is good if we have an idea where we are generally wanting to end up with the
overall plan.
Interior Features: Start working on the “Laundry List” of features and
details you would like in your home. Planning for these features in the
beginning gives more opportunity to work them into the plan and budget.
